Heads Up Football (USA Football) 
Mighty Mites participates in Heads Up Football®, USA Football’s player safety program. A comprehensive method to teaching the sport’s fundamentals in a progressive, age-based approach, Heads Up Football® helps youth football leagues and clubs across the United States ensure a better, safer experience for players, coaches, commissioners and parents.
Head coaches are required to register at USA Football and complete online coaching training before a certified coaching card will be provided.
Coaches can access the certification by following the steps below.
- Login to your existing USA Football account or create an account
- Go to https://footballdevelopment.com/courses-certifications/
- Click "Learn More" under either Flag or Tackle Certification.
- Click on "Get Certified"
- Click "Continue to Payment"
- Type in promo code: MIGHTYMITES24
- Click "Update Price"
- Click "Sign Up For Course!"
- Start Certification
You should not be charged for the training. You will need to "affiliate" with Mighty Mites (Organizations tab, search for Mighty Mites, click "Associate").

Membership
Before starting the certification, coaches should consider becoming a USA Football Coach Member. This includes both the Tackle and Flag Certification, Youth Tackling & Contact System, full access to USA Football Community, monthly coaches notes, and more. The cost to become a Coach Member is $40.
