Team Selection Guidelines
Mighty Mites teams are organized based on an election from the respective Park Supervisor. There are three methods to select from: 1) Coach Pick 2) Coach Draft 3) Supervisor Pick
The “Coach Pick” method, allows approved coaches to bring organized teams to Springfield Meador and Ewing Parks only for the 2015 season.
Following are the required procedures for the “Coach Pick” Method for Springfield Meador and Ewing Parks only:
1. All players on each team shall be either - 1/2 Grade level; 3/4 Grade level or 5/6 Grade level. Players cannot participate if in Kindergarten, or are age 13 on January 1, 2014.
2. Each authorized coach can bring up to 13 players to play on that coach’s team.
3. Parents may request their player be placed on a particular coach’s team, but the coach has final authority to accept or deny the request, prior to unassigned players’ assignment to teams.
4. Unassigned players will be placed on teams at the direction of the Field Supervisor. 5. Teams in each grade level shall have the same approximate number of players per team.
6. Individual teams brought to the program as an organized team must be under the total weight limit allowed as follow (in pounds) for each grade level and the related number of players per team:

All players will be weighed at Mighty Mites registration.
Other fields will be organized using one of two methods: Coach Draft or Field Supervisor Pick.
The following Fields will use the Coach Draft method for team organization for the 2015 season:
Buffalo, Fair Grove, Nixa, and Strafford
The following Fields will use the Field Supervisor Pick method for team organization for the 2015 season:
Ava, Fordland, Rogersville, Sparta, and Willard
